State Funeral

The funeral of Grand Duke Otto of Pommaine passed without a hitch. The cortege slowly progressed from the palace to the cathedral past large crowds of silent citizens. All that could be heard was the slow beat of a drum and the slow march of the accompanying troops. There was only one minor problem, his elder son the Erbhertzog Karl had not turned up, so the carriage after the hearse only contained the Grand Duchess Maria and younger son Konrad.
